Title: Like Vines and Noodle Salad
Pairing: Jon Walker/Brendon Urie – Panic at the Disco
Word Count: 48,000
Rating: NC-17
Disclaimer: I really do know the difference between real life and fiction. This is the latter.
Prompt: Written for
harlequin_bands, option #2.
Summary: Jon inherits his grandmother's home after her death. Sometimes falling in love is the easy part – it's everything else that's difficult.
Author's Notes: While I don't think anything requires 'warning,' I'd like to acknowledge that this story includes [one instance of] unsafe sex, unplanned pregnancy and childbirth (not mpreg – I swear!) and death. I hope that I addressed everything respectfully and responsibly and that it won't rise to squick level.
I imagined AFYCSO era bb!Brendon with red glasses, while everyone else is the more mature P.O era. No ages have actually been changed. Just, you know, for the visual…
My deepest thanks to the mods of
harlequin_bands for creating a light-hearted place to write a bit of romance and smut.
Tremendous thanks to my betas
queenb23more and
redandglenda and to
penceyprepster for contributing her thoughts. Most especially my ♥ goes to
mrsquizzical for enabling me, reading this one paragraph at a time and for dangling pictures of Jon Walker at me until I got it done.
Brendon was falling apart underneath him and Jon had to decide whether he was going to put him back together or finish unraveling him.
Like Vines and Noodle Salad
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6
ETA - And for the gluttony, here is a picspam of the characters as I saw them.

Your Hating Summer was the first bandom fic I read, when I knew who Brendon and Patrick were but barely knew the rest and kept asking
